June 23, 2014 The well-organized army of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, or ISIS, claims it has access to nuclear weapons and a will to use them to “liberate” Palestine from Israel as part of its 'Islamic Spring'. The move is part of the ISIS aim of creating a caliphate under strict Islamic law, stretching from the Mediterranean Sea to Iraq. The ISIS “Al-Quds Unit” is working to broaden its influence in more than sixty Palestinian camps and gatherings from Gaza, across “Occupied Palestine,” or Israel, to Jordan and from Lebanon up to the north of Syria “seeking to enlist support as it prepares to liberate Palestine.” ISIS is also known as the Islamic State of Iraq and the Sham. “Sham,” or “Greater Syria,” refers to Cyprus, Palestine, Jordan, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Israel and southern Turkey. In Iraq alone, some six million Iraqi Sunnis recently have become supportive of the ISIS lightning strikes in the Sunni portion of the country. Some of the Sunni supporters are secular, such as the Naqshbandia Army of former top officials of executed Iraqi leader Hussein. The Sunni group may have given ISIS access to its ongoing sarin production facility in northwestern Iraq. ISIS has established a capital for its caliphate in the Syrian city of Raqqa. “The Islamist organization believes it currently has massive regional support for its rapidly expanding ‘revolution of the oppressed’”. ISIS access to nuclear weapons could come from Sunni Pakistan, which is home to more than thirty terrorist groups. The Saudis, who also have provided billions of dollars to ISIS, have threatened to acquire nuclear weapons if Iran were to develop its own. (Source: WND): http://tinyurl.com/ovzt6x6
June 26, 2014 The State Department is expanding a program to counter al-Qaida and other extremist groups using Twitter, YouTube and other digital media - the agency announced this week. The English-language Think Again Turn Away campaign is run by the Center for Strategic Counter Terrorism Communications’ digital outreach team. The English-language effort uses Twitter, Tumblr andYouTube accounts to promote U.S. and international perspectives on topics such as the motives of the brutal Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, or ISIS, which has taken control of large portions of Iraq and has a strong social media presence of its own. The Think Again Turn Away Twitter account engages with individual Twitter users, linking to its own picture and video archives or to outside articles from respected news outlets. Frequent themes include ISIS’ targeting of Muslims and civilians in general. The department has awarded a $575,046 contract to JTG, Inc. of Vienna, Virginia, to continue and expand the English-language initiative that launched late last year without additional money or personnel. The digital media team also works in Arabic, Urdu, Somali and Punjabi. Under the new 6-month contract, JTG employees will research and analyze extremist websites and “conduct focus group[s] or other relevant pretesting of product concepts and pilot products in order to ensure resonance with the target audience” — namely, English speakers, including Westerners, who are digitally engaged with extremists and potential targets of recruitment efforts. CSCC says the program is not intended to target Americans.

There are almost fifty-two million Hispanics/Latinos in America and the Hispanic/Latino community is the fastest growing minority group in the United States. "As such, the Latino influence in the United States is undeniable - Latinos buy twenty-five percent of all movie tickets in the United States and The NPD Group found that Latinos will be changing food culture in America and according to the Selig Center for Economic Growth, the purchasing power of Hispanics in 2012 was $1.2 trillion." 28 Jun 2014 Facebook has conducted a secret massive psychology experiment on its users to find out how they respond to positive and negative messages - without telling participants. Over six-hundred thousand Facebook users have taken part in a psychological experiment organised by the social media company, without their knowledge. The experiments took place for one week (January 11–18, 2012). Participants were randomly selected based on their User ID. The company altered the tone of the users' news feed to highlight either positive or negative posts from their friends, which were seen on their news feed. They then monitored the users' response, to see whether their friends' attitude had an impact on their own. "The results show emotional contagion" - wrote a team of Facebook scientists, in a paper published by the PNAS journal - Proceedings of the National Academy of Scientists of the United States. (See: http://tinyurl.com/nogkqne ) They provided experimental evidence that emotional contagion occurs without direct interaction between people (exposure to a friend expressing an emotion is sufficient), and in the complete absence of nonverbal cues. "When positive expressions were reduced, people produced fewer positive posts and more negative posts; when negative expressions were reduced, the opposite pattern occurred. These results indicate that emotions expressed by others on Facebook influence our own emotions, constituting experimental evidence for massive-scale contagion via social networks." Social media can have such a strong impact on people's mental state... Facebook were able to carry out the experiment because all users have to tick a box agreeing to their terms and conditions. These include "internal operations, including troubleshooting, data analysis, testing, research and service improvement." (Source: The Telegraph): http://tinyurl.com/kpebmg6
